What does the skin need after summer?

If I ask you about summer right now, you'll probably say, "Oh, where is that?" Unless you're one of those fall vacationers who likes to wait until the temperatures drop and the crowds die down before heading out on your summer vacation, you've probably been carefree and enjoying the summer months and causing some skin problems.

It is influenced by a multitude of environmental factors, skin care methods and lack thereof, and of course, the consumption of more or less suitable foods and drinks for its health.

What happens to your skin in summer and how to rebalance it?

Although it may sound a bit contradictory, one of the most pressing problems is skin dehydration . To solve the problem, the first advice is definitely to use intensive moisturizing serums, drink enough fluids and, of course, the always welcome use of nourishing moisturizing masks (a super natural solution is a honey mask - apply a thin layer of honey to damp skin, wait twenty minutes and rinse it off with plenty of cold water).

Another pressing problem is the effects of the sun's rays. Here we will not talk about the fatal consequences that unprotected exposure to the sun can bring, but we will warn you that after exposure to the sun, it is necessary to ensure a sufficient amount of antioxidants in the care routine, which will help the skin to regenerate. After the summer, the skin may be slightly thicker, rougher, peeling, pigment spots appear, and it looks withered and tired. Now it will need support from the outside, products with ingredients that will successfully regenerate it. One of these is, for example, CO2 extract of rosehip and pomegranate . Hyperpigmentation or the appearance of brown spots can be reduced or eliminated with ingredients such as vitamin C , but successful combat requires consistent use of products containing it over a longer period of time (at least 3 months or as directed by the manufacturer).

The third tip for getting your skin back to normal after the summer is to remove dead skin cells. There are of course several ways, but I recommend trying some gentle, homemade scrubs (ground oatmeal mixed into a pastewith facial cleansing gel ), as they are always at hand. Massage and gentle abrasives will remove dead skin cells, increase blood circulation, and thus speed up the skin renewal process.

So, we've taken care of our skin after the summer, it's glowing again and waiting for the transition to the colder months.

Autumn - the last smile of nature.

Regardless of the fact that we moisturized our skin well in the summer according to the above suggestion, the factors that cause its dryness do not rest at any time of the year. Regardless of the type and condition of your skin, never forget about good cosmetic products with a sufficient amount of moisturizers. What moisturizers are you looking for? Sodium hyaluronate, sodium lactate, glycerin, sodium PCA, hydrolyzed proteins and the like. It is difficult to determine what concentrations of moisturizers an individual product contains, unless the concentration is stated by the manufacturer itself, you will certainly be guided by your experience during use. The feeling of your skin being thirsty is a good enough indicator that the moisturizer (or several of them) is working.

Today we would like to draw your attention to moisturizing lotions, serums and similar, mostly water-based emulsions . These have a beneficial effect and can perform their function wonderfully, but there are cases where their improper use can cause more harm than good to the skin. When we talk about moisturizing serums, fluids and lotions that contain sodium hyaluronate or hyaluronic acid , they should be used in the fall and winter and wherever the air is dry:

- on damp skin

 - as a base for a richer cream , nourishing oil or nourishing liquid powder

Why? Hyaluronic acid is a real sponge. It absorbs moisture and if it doesn't get it from the atmosphere, it will draw it from your skin. So we avoid this by using products that have hyaluronic acid built into a more nourishing structure (richer cream) or by using lighter serums and fluids only as a base.
